The Future of Israel Begins at Soroka: Become a Lifeline Now
In the early hours of June 19, an Iranian ballistic missile struck Soroka Medical Center’s central campus, causing significant structural damage. The blast led to the collapse of department floors, pharmacies, and laboratories, injuring nearly 100 patients and staff, and forcing the suspension of most medical services.
As the only major medical center in the South and one of Israel’s leading hospitals, this attack is more than a devastating blow to Soroka, it is a profound crisis for Israel’s most vulnerable and diverse communities. In the face of massive destruction, our dedicated medical teams are for now limited to providing emergency, life-saving care.
We need to rebuild as quickly and most efficiently as possible. To meet this critical moment, we have launched the Soroka Rebuilding Emergency Fund to restore and strengthen the hospital’s essential operations and infrastructure in the wake of this attack.
“Soroka never stops.” said Prof. Shlomi Codish, Director General: “The missile that struck Soroka hit the heart of Israel’s southern healthcare system. The damage is significant, but our spirit is unbreakable. Despite the painful blow, the values that define Soroka—mission, dedication, professionalism, and humanity—are stronger than any missile. We will rise, rebuild, and continue to be a life-saving anchor in the South.”
Soroka is more than a hospital - it is a cornerstone of national preparedness and resilience. Our diverse team of professionals stands together in the face of adversity, committed to saving lives, delivering outstanding medicine and maximizing outcomes for our patients. Your donation today is a pure lifeline. Join us. Help Soroka meet this moment.

Hours after the blast, President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were on the scene.
“Soroka is not only one of the best hospitals in Israel—it is, in my opinion, one of the best in the world. This attack put children, mothers, and the elderly in harm’s way. It is nothing short of miraculous that the hospital was evacuated just in time. This hospital was the beating heart of medical care on October 7 and since. It treated thousands—including families of hostages. Its devoted staff–Jews and Arabs—work side by side in extraordinary harmony, united by the mission to heal. We will rebuild. We will protect Soroka. And we will not rest until all our hostages return home.”
